A small town race done in a BIG way with as many as 1,200 participants in recent years, the Boyne City Independence Day run is a low cost and family fun event offering professionally timed 10K and 2 Mile events. Finisher medals, free online finisher photos/video, chip start, age group awards and a true Dig Deep finish line will once again make this race exciting for 2024. Proceeds from the event go toward the amazing fireworks show that we strongly suggest participants stick around for!
Awesome cotton blend t-shirts will be provided with sizes guaranteed to those who register “with shirt” before midnight on Monday, June 24th! And this year, in addition top 3 overall male & female awards for reach event, age group awards will once again be issued to the top 3 male and female participants in each age category!

*ALL registration is ONLINE - right up until race time. Please click on the “Register Now” button at the top of the page to sign up! We strongly encourage participants to pick up packets (or register on-site) on Sunday afternoon to avoid long lines and a possible late start
T-Shirts
Event t-shirts are guaranteed to those who register “with shirt” before midnight on Monday, June 24th! Those registering after June 24th will only have the option of the “no shirt” category. BUT… we WILL have extra shirts for sale (first come - first serve) at packet pickup on Wednesday and Thursday. These shirts will be sold for $10 each.

Top 3 Overall Fastest Male and Female runners in both the 10K and 2 Mile events (gun start - those running to win should be ready to start at 7:30AM & 7:40AM respectively)
Age group award coins in gold (1st place), silver (2nd place) and bronze (3rd place) will be issued to the top 3 male and female participants for each event this year! Be sure to check results before leaving the finish line area! Age groups are as follows:
1-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-56, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-98

Results
Results from EnMotive Michigan will be displayed at the event and will be posted at DIGDEEPRACES.COM within 48 hours of race completion.
REFUND AND TRANSFER POLICY
REFUND AND TRANSFER POLICY We completely understand that plans change and athletes will sometimes be unable to compete in an event they've signed up for. We also understand that registering for one of our events is a financial investment in that race. We accept your registration funds with the full intention of putting on the promised event with the listed amenities and we use your registration funds to pay for the necessary items and services needed to host the event. For this event, registration is insured for refund should the race be canceled due to adverse weather, natural catastrophe or terrorism. Covid/Pandemic does not fall under any of these categories is not grounds for refund.
Should a registrant have an injury or other medical issue keeping them from competing in this event, we would be happy to transfer registration to next year’s race. A doctor's slip may be required as proof of injury or ailment. Failure to provide proof if requested will result in non-transfer of the event. Transferring registrations to other runners is NOT allowed.
