Dr. Brian Purchase
Dr. Purchase and his Team can be found at the finish line of some Dig Deep races monitoring runners for signs of distress. Brian started working for Covenant HealthCare as a Board Certified Emergency Physician in 1998. In 2015, he completed a Sports Medicine fellowship and now works exclusively at Covenant Sports Medicine on the campus of Saginaw Valley State University. Over the years he has not only provided medical support for many of our events but also for the Ironman Triathlon World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. If he isn’t working the finish line, he’s probably participating in the race. His active participation in trail running, cycling and triathlon allows him to fully understand his patients from weekend warriors to elite athletes.
