Team One Wine Run 5K Saginaw 2025 Overview

On Friday, August 22, 2025, Team One Credit Union and DIG DEEP RACE EVENTS, LLC are teaming up to bring the Wine Run to Downtown Saginaw to help promote the great things that the area has to offer!

In celebration of Team One’s 90th Anniversary in 2025, this year’s event is going to be bigger and better than ever!  The theme is Back to the 90’s and will include a Free Concert after the Wine run from 7-9:30 pm.  (90’s themed attire is encouraged!) 

The 5k Wine walk/run will begin and end at the Jolt Credit Union Event Park in the heart of historic Saginaw. Wine tastings await all (age 21 and older) participants after they enjoy a scenic trip down the riverfront and back. Appetizers will also be available for runners and walkers in the VIP tent after the race. And get this… registrants don’t pay the registration fees for this event! What does that mean? It means that if your registration cost is $35, then $35 is what you pay. WE will cover the Runsignup fees that are normally added on. Be sure to sign up to take advantage of this awesome event to get outside and have some fun.

After the Walk/Run, stay and enjoy Rock the Block - Back to the 90’s! Team One’s free community concert from 7-9:30 pm. Food truck fare and beverages will be available for purchase.

*IMPORTANT Note: Please keep in mind that Ladies Cut shirts generally run smaller than standard unisex t-shirts as they are designed to be somewhat form fitting. Course Description

The Wine Run is a USATF-sanctioned 5k course that begins and ends at Jolt Credit Union Event Park. This course is flat but scenic, providing a great backdrop for both the competitive and leisurely runners and walkers!

Times and Timing

The 5K Run/Walk events will be timed by Great Lakes Race Management in accordance with USATF sanctioning requirements.

Awards 

All participants will receive a finisher medal at the end of the race. Those participants 21 years old and older will receive a wine glass and 2 wine tastings at Jolt Event Park upon completion of their event! (Please note: ID required to receive wine glass and wine tasting tickets)

Top 3 Overall Fastest 5k Male and Female (chip timed actual) will receive a plaque to signify their accomplishment.

Age Group Awards will be distributed to the top overall (just first place) male and female in the following groupings:

  • 19 & Under

  • 20 - 29

  • 30 - 39

  • 40 - 49

  • 50 - 59

  • 60 - 69

  • 70 & Over

Appetizers will also be available after the race for runners/walks and volunteers in the VIP tent.

Results

Results from Great Lakes Timing Company will be available by scanning the QR code on participant race bibs. They will also be online shortly after the event and will be posted at DIGDEEPRACES.COM within 48 hours of race completion.

FAQ’s

Can I run/walk with a stroller?

Unfortunately, no. A large portion of the run/walk course is “out and back” along the narrow river trail and strollers of any sort would impede runners and walkers in both directions.

What does “USATF Sanctioning” mean?

It means that organizers have followed a process with USA Track & Field that requires creation of a safety plan and purchase of outstanding insurance covering participants, volunteers, sponsors, partners and organizers of the event.  It also means that your race results will be official for scoring purposes (assuming you track that sort of thing).

Refund and Transfer Policy

We completely understand that plans change and athletes will sometimes be unable to compete in an event they've signed up for.  We also understand that registering for one of our events is a financial investment in that race. We accept your registration funds with the full intention of putting on the promised event with the listed amenities and we use your registration funds to pay for the necessary items and services needed to host the event. With that in mind, refunds will not be provided for this event unless the event is cancelled for reasons within our control.  The following are examples (but not limited to) of reasons an event might be canceled that are NOT within our control: Dangerous weather; natural disasters; pandemics; acts of terrorism; local emergencies; government mandates; and any situation creating a threat to safety of participants, volunteers, staff or bystanders.

Should an athlete have an injury or other medical issue keeping them from competing in an event they've registered for, we would be happy to transfer their registration to a similar Dig Deep-owned event up to and including the same event the following season.  A doctor's slip may be required as proof of injury or ailment.  Failure to provide proof if requested will result in non-transfer of the event.

Transferring registrations to other runners/athletes is NOT allowed.
